Terms of use
Draft · Last updated 23 October 2026
The service is operated by AviationMasters (“we”, “us”).
Contact: hello@aviationmasters.com
These terms apply to the AviationMasters website and apps. Jobs and some features are free. The Logbook and the Full package are paid subscriptions, described in section 7A and in our Refund policy. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
AviationMasters offers learning modules for pilots, a digital pilot logbook (with imports and paper scanning), a pilot CV, an opt-in crew circle and a jobs board. Some features are in beta and may change or be withdrawn. We may update, suspend or stop parts of the service, and will tell you in advance where reasonably possible. Jobs are always free.
2. Your account
By using AviationMasters, you declare that you are old enough to accept these Terms or, if you are under 13, that you have your parent's or guardian's authorisation (Portuguese Law 58/2019, Art. 16). Payments by anyone under 18 require a parent's or guardian's authorisation. You are responsible for the accuracy of this declaration. Give accurate information. Keep access to your email or Google account secure: whoever controls it can sign in to your account. Tell us at once if you think your account has been misused.
3. Your content and your logbook
You own the data you enter or upload (flights, files, CV, photos). You give us the permission we need to store and process it to provide the service. You are responsible for its accuracy. Imports and the paper-logbook scanner can make mistakes: always review imported rows. The digital logbook is a tool to help you keep your records; it is your responsibility to meet the record-keeping rules of your licensing authority (for example EASA Part-FCL) and your operator.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not break the law, infringe others' rights or upload content you are not allowed to share.
- Only record other people's names (for example crew or signers) where you have a legitimate reason to do so.
- Do not try to access other accounts, disrupt the service, or scrape it automatically.
- Do not post false or misleading job information.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. Learning content and jobs
Learning modules are for education only and are not EASA-approved training. They are not an airline's procedures, an official exam or a substitute for your operator's manuals and approved training.
Job adverts come from operators and public sources; we remove recruiters' names and personal contact details from them. We cannot guarantee that adverts are complete or still open, and applications go directly to the employer. Operators can ask us to correct or remove an advert by emailing hello@aviationmasters.com; we act within 2 business days.
Airline names and trademarks belong to their owners; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any airline.
Some pages may show third-party advertisements. We are not responsible for the content of those ads or for the websites they link to.
6. Availability and liability
We work to keep the service available and your data safe. Free features are provided as they are offered at any given time. For paid plans, you have the conformity rights described below. This does not affect your rights under the law. Keep your own exports of important records (the logbook offers CSV and full backup exports). To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions made on the basis of the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits:
- our liability for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, by us or by anyone acting for us;
- our liability for death or personal injury;
- your rights as a consumer if the service is not in conformity, under Decree-Law 84/2021 on digital content and services (for example to have it brought into conformity or to end the contract). These rights also apply to free services where you provide personal data;
- any other liability or right that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including under Decree-Law 446/85 on standard contract terms.
7A. Paid plans, free trial and payments
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. The Paddle Buyer Terms also apply to your purchase. Paid plans start with a 30-day free trial; if you cancel before it ends you are not charged. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time with effect from the end of the paid period. Once a payment is taken it is non-refundable, except as set out in our Refund policy, which forms part of these terms. Prices are shown before you subscribe; we will give at least 30 days' notice of any price change.
7. Ending your account
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@aviationmasters.com. Export your data first if you want to keep it. If you have a paid plan, cancel it first (Settings → Plan → Manage subscription); deleting your account does not by itself cancel a Paddle subscription. Paid periods are not refunded, as set out in our Refund policy.
8. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy policy. Cancellation, withdrawal and refunds are covered by our Refund policy.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will tell you in advance in the app or by email, giving at least 30 days' notice of material changes, and we will show the date above. If you do not agree with a change, you can close your account before it takes effect.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you habitually reside. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts of Lisbon. If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the EU country where you live, and we may only bring proceedings against you there.
Alternative dispute resolution. If you are a consumer, you can refer a dispute with us to the following alternative dispute resolution entity: CNIACC – Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo, www.cniacc.pt (Portuguese Law 144/2015).
Complaints book. You can also file a complaint in the Electronic Complaints Book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico), www.livroreclamacoes.pt.
11. Language
These terms are available in English and Portuguese, and both versions have the same content. If there is any doubt about their meaning, the interpretation most favourable to you as a consumer applies.
